Sarcastic Sounds Shows His Heart On Debut Album 'Haunt You Forever'

You may be familiar with Sarcastic Sounds from his time on the road with Arden Jones and his co-writing credit on David Kushner’s hit single “Daylight,” but Haunt You Forever shows the 24 year old in a new light.

Beginning the project with title track “Haunt You Forever,” Sarcastic Sounds tells of haunting a girl who did him wrong. The song sets the theme for the remainder of the project and ends with the young artist expressing “I’ll haunt your mind like you do mine.” As the album progresses Sarcastic Sounds makes it his mission to tackle topics including relationships, dating, mental health, and the overall experience of being a “twenty something in the 2020’s.”

“Stumbling” and “Someday Soon” are both instantly relatable; perfectly intertwining the prevalent topics of mental health and growing up. Lyrically, “Someday Soon” serves as one of Sarcastic Sounds strongest tracks on the project. A standout line from the song states “I’ve lost half my days stuck on tomorrow.”

Sarcastic Sounds also does not shy away from discussing feelings of heartbreak. On tracks “All I Wanted,” “Better Half” and “Don’t Wait For Me” he expresses the conflicting and often painful emotions that accompany a breakup. While on “Jaycee” he tells of his journey to move past the pain with someone new. Sadly, he knows deep down she is not the one for him.

“We’re Not Kids Anymore” and “I love my friends” act as more nostalgic moments on the album. Both of which delve into the 24 year olds realization of knowing things will never be as they once were.

Additionally, Sarcastic Sounds recently introduced his latest music video to “Haunt You Forever.” The video includes him haunting the girl that did him wrong in hopes she will realize her wrongdoings. Directed by Keats & James Tresco, the video is one you sure don’t want to miss.

The album ends with “Hero,” an honest and hopeful parting note to the girl he once loved. He pleads for her to “let him go” as he no longer wants to be “a part of her parade.” Thus, closing his memorable debut album and a trying chapter of his life.

LA fans make sure to catch Sarcastic Sounds play the album live at the Moroccan Lounge on December 12th.
